On vacation!

Im taking a wonderful two weeks off before going crazy getting rid of things and organizing the house like a mad woman.    Hanging in texas with momma, and getting to see my sister and Belle getting to play with her cousins (hopefully A LOT)  Is just what we all need to start summer off relaxed.

Bedtime, whats that??

Last night, I had everyone in bed at a decent time, and had a few precious moments of silence before I went to bed around 10:00.  (sarge was closing the store that night, so he wouldnt get home till realllly late)
around 11:30  Calvin started screaming at the top of his lungs, and after two hours of  trying to get him back to sleep, I finally gave in an just took him to bed with me.    It took a half an  hour after that to get him calmed down, and finally asleep.          About that time, sarge got home and fell into bed beside us, where we enjoyed a whole hour of sleep before Calvin woke up wanting to nurse.     annd back to sleep again.      around four, we heard some strange sounds coming from the kitchen, and Sarge went to investigate.    Belle had raided the fridge, and was sitting on the floor eating a bag of turkey pepperoni.  
Sarge finally got her back to bed.        Calvin only woke up two more times after that to nurse (growth spurt I think)    and Belle came bouncing into our room at 7:30 "  MOOM!!     its not dark outside any more!   get up!    I want some food!          As I stumbled out of bed with my eyes half open, she starts our morning conversation with-  Hey!   I've got really big boobs mom.
   This morning over coffee, Sarge and I were wondering how on earth people with five or six kids stay sane.

everything's better with Perry!

My little baby is three years old!    We had her party at the  park, and it was HOT!!    Belle had a great time, and slept like a log that night with the best birthday present ever!!                 Perry the  platypus,   From her favorite show Phineas and Ferb.     I only bought her two things this year for her birthday.  Perry and Peter Pan on DVD.   She got peter pan because she has the book, and one day  after we were reading it she asked me if she could watch a peter pan movie. so. yeah.

This is my Best friend from when I was a kids daughter! still seems weird for me that we are all grown up and  our babies are playing together.

My mommy and I took the kiddos swimming  the day after her party.  after some initial hesitation about  the  cold water, both of them dove right it! 

My little man Calvin is quite the water baby!

It was a great birthday for Belle.   Her poppa (sarges dad)  gave her this super cool ladybug that projects constellations and stars on the ceiling.   It has been going to bed with her every night too.     My mommy got her a plasma car AND a little tykes car  so she has been motoring around on those for days.
 And real live metal garden tools that don't bend when you try to shovel lots of dirt!   Happy birthday my Belle!   love you !
