The devils spawn ate it

So, Calvin was going to the doctor so they could check him out after all the sick gunk, and we had a looong wait in the waiting room with what can only be described as the devils spawn.
what I am about to write is true.   The names have been changed to protect the innocent.
Spawn decides to re-arrange chairs in waiting room while Belle  sits quietly on her chair watching in utter amazment.
Spawns mom threatens her with a shot if she doesnt stop.
Spawn yells NO!!!
and keeps doing it....

Spawn gets bored and tries to do cartwheels in the middle of the floor.
winds up just spinning around on her head for a few minutes.

Spawn eyes my innocent babes who are both quiet.
She decides to observe this unknown behavior and stares at us for a while.

While Belle is occupied showing Calvin his toes, Spawn has to go to the bathroom.
After throwing a fit because her mom wont let her go alone, another fit ensues inside the bathroom because theres no paper towels to wipe her hands on.

While this is going on, i cant help but tell Belle what a good girl she is.
The old lady nearby does her best to stifle a grin.
As they exit the restroom, I do my best not to look horrified because she has toilet paper in her hand and shes EATING it!!
Mom notices about thirty seconds later, makes a feeble swat near spawns hand and says "you have toilet paper in your mouth?"   "spit that out!! "
spawn dives for cover under a chair and cackles.
Mom threatens her with  the truck.
By the time mom gets the toilet paper, theres not much left.

Later, Belle whispers in my ear that she needs to go potty.
I preform a mommy miracle and manage to help her get on the potty while Im still holding Calvin.
She also noticed the lack of paper towels, but instead of throwing a fit, she just wiped her wet hands on her shirt.    Oh, yes.and.   THE DEVILS SPAWN ATE THE LAST OF THE TOILET PAPER!!!

I could keep going, but I'll spare you any more.

Not to say that my children were perfect.   Belle took a few bits of fake grass from a basket and pretended they were dogs, and Calvin was checking out the leaves on a fake tree and pulled the whole thing over .     But everyone seemed to think they were nothing but CUTE.  ( i tend to agree)

So I have a new outlook.

Belle had her first visit to the ER last weekend.      Both kids and sarge were sick.     I was sitting on the couch with Calvin and Belle was lying next to us looking pathetic and weepy on  her pillow :(
I looked over and her arm was twitching, her eyes were rolled over to one side and drool was pouring out of her mouth.
I yelled for sarge,  who took one look at her and started getting ready to go.
I picked her up to get some pants on her (it snowed later that night. brrrr..) and my poor belle was stiff as a board.               She got her first ride in a vehicle without a carseat that night.    Sarge is a Combat lifesaver, so he knew what to do.   I found out later that she rode in the front seat with her head on his lap all the way to the hospital.     She came out of the seizure  on the way there.   Sarges mom picked me and Calvin up on her way to the hospital.
For the first time in my life, I was impressed with the hospital here.     we were in and out in two hours.     Belle has a bronchial infection, but the reason for her seizure was a sudden spike in temperature.

I know a febrile seizure isnt life threatening,   but seeing my baby like that has made me appreciate her soooo much more than i ever imagined i could.
The constant chattering is now music to mine and Sarges ears.
I lovingly collect all the bedtime buddies and help put diapers and clothes on the ones who need them.
Balad bear. check
Big baby. check
Little baby. check
flying baby. check
Tigger. check
piglet. check

Isaac was sick for several days, during which i was useless around the house because he would NOT be put down.

Other than a cough every now and then, everyone is all better and I am elated to have my house back to the normal chaos and noise !

Hotel for dogs

No,   its not a review for that movie that looks to stupid for me to bother watching.

Its a reference to the way my house feels.

Due to two major  medical emergencies on both sides of the family, my in-laws are on opposite sides of the country and their dogs are camped out with us.

Im not complaining per-say, just feeling a bit overwhelmed by the four dogs, two 2yr. olds  and the six month old.  And  the rain.    so i cant kick the kids and stinky dogs outside.

On a lighter note-  i finally got some pictures my photographer friend took a few weeks ago!!

Belle was more than happy to play in the giant pumpkin!

Calvin thought it was kinda icky..

I couldnt figure out why Belle was throwing a MAJOR tantrum about getting a christmas picture taken.
After calming her down i finally deduced that it was because her christmas dress wasnt pink and princessy enough.
so she put on some princess clothes.

calvin was a well behaved gentleman for the christmas pictures.  probably because it didnt involve sticking him in a pumpkin that was a little cramped.

This was after the pumpkin torture, soaking up some rays :)

Our little bit of Earth

All the paperwork is done.    The stupid abstract is complete.    And we own a home!!

This is a  small part of our large soon to be screened in back porch :)

When you hit teenage years and Christmas no longer gives you that feeling in your tummy of great things to come, its kind of sad when you think you wont ever have it again.      Little did I know, buying a house brings back the stomach wigglies!!
